Mission Society of New York City is the oldest organization in New York dedicated to ending intergenerational poverty. Since 1812, over 6.5 million New Yorkers have come through Mission’s doors seeking lifechanging economic opportunity. Mission has helped our neighbors succeed in attaining their future goals by continually reimagining the urban learning landscape and building new educational capacity. Specifically, in every generation, we launch innovative, experiential educational programs and services to best meet the evolving needs of New York City’s youth and families.
Today, we provide nearly 4,000 young people with a progressive portfolio of educational, workforce development and cultural enrichment services at our flagship community center in Central Harlem and 11 sites in Harlem, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and the Lower East Side,
